A dramatic rescue unfolded this afternoon when a heroic local resident came to the aid of a terrified feline stuck high up in a massive tree. Witnesses said the cat, apparently lost, had climbed the tree and gotten trapped. After several worried minutes, a neighborly passerby obtained a ladder and skillfully removed the frightened animal.
